Surviving the Struggle

The long time of 1865-1917 were notable for America, in terms of Reconstruction and Industrialization. Although quiesce thought of as colonial in the beginning, the latter years of this era brought on significant changes. With the role of America changing and with certain acts and amendments coming to light, one would have thought that life-time would be vastly improving for all of mankind, however, history tells a different story. For Blacks, the beginning of this time period was to have been a momentous one. With the 13th Amendment being ratified in celestial latitude of 1865, officially abolishing slavery, and the 15th Amendment being ratified in 1870, fine-looking Blacks the right to vote, hope was beginning to surface for the color population. Unfortunately, these were precisely government acts put into effect and did little to change the ideas of clear America. Why is there a problem to solve as to the Negro race? White America mat as though they had given every oppourtunity to African Americans and yet felt as though Blacks didnt have the ability to escape their past, cause them to act as animals.
