Many economists believe that with population growing at its current rate that our natural resources will soon become exhausted and possibly depleted, however decades ago our level of resource consumption may have seemed completely unsustainable and rather unimaginable (Blackman & Baumol, 2008) but with the new technologies it seems that our ways may be sustainable after all.
