I instilled it in my mind that I was going to practice these muscle reading steps honestly and with an open mind, and in doing so, I allowed myself to discover juvenile techniques for my reading.
I applied all 3 steps in Phase 1: Before you read. bar 1 consists of a preview of your reading. My preview was limited to pictures and drawings which consisted of bold face subheadings. Also, on that point were bold face quotes throughout the article. I sketched my own outline, J.F.K.: A Leader with A Vision, on a ramify sheet of a paper for pace 2. I came up with three questions for Step 3: What were some of the tensest moments of the cold war for J.F.K.? Where did he receive his power? When did he decide to design military power?




Phase 2: While you read, covers read, underline, and answer. Step 4 is reflecting on the material of the subject. What do you already agnise about the article? I used high spot as a technique for Step 5: underlining. Through highlighting I improve my decision making process because I must make accurate distinctions of what is important material. The final Step (6) in phase 2 is an important key because this is when you await for the answers to your questions in phase 1.
